This is another killer Mountain Loop Highway hike. It is about 8.2 miles total with an elevation gain of about 3950 feet. We did this hike in February, and the hike itself goes from forested switch-backs into a snowy climb, so bring your yaktrax! Towards the summit you will see some of the North Cascades most beautiful peaks, including Vesper, Monte Cristo, Big Four, Three Fingers, Whitehorse, White Chuck, and Gothic Basin. If you are looking for mountain views, this is definitely one of the best you can ask for in the North Cascades. The hard work definitely pays off here.
